why are some boys such a**holes

an year ago i started my university. i met this guy in my class. and well to describe him initially he was not at all groomed, had the cheapest dressing sense, and was not that attractive as well but what he had is excellent communication skills. he is the kind of boy who makes u fall in love just by doing his cool boy talks and well guess who was dumb enough to fall for him 🤡ME🤡
this boy had tons of red flags which i completely chose to ignore. i would do his assignments, wait for hours to talk to him, stay up late at night texting him and what not. i told him to change his dressing sense, to style a certain way BASICALLY I JUST GAVE THIS GUY A COMPLETE MAKEOVER not even kidding. so we were in our 2nd semester and he quickly became one of the cool guys of university. whenever he talked to girls i got jealous idky maybe because he flirted with me and i thought i had a chance.
okay so it was his birthday and i was planning his birthday for so long, we also had an exam that day so i told him that we’ll go out after the exam and he agreed. i made a reservation at a restaurant, spent thousands of rupees on all stupid things, got him a gift bla bla bla. he did his exam early and left the class, me being in a hurry i left my exam incomplete just so i can spend more time with him, i went out and he was leaving with some other girls. i messaged him, called him, asked his friends where he was going NO FUCKING REPLY. i was looking like a complete idiot in university crying, roaming here and there finding him. well after 2 hours he replied and the reply was : Can u send me your assignment i forgot we had to submit it today 🤡🤡🤡🤡
and well guess what i actually did sent him the assignment, that’s how stupid i am. after 3 hours of waiting i went home messaged him but he completely ignored me. he hasn’t replied me ever since it’s been a year. and the worst part is that he is in my class and i have to look at him everyday. and he and his friends laugh at me whenever i ignore them.
also the sad part is that he started dating one of the girls that he went with to his birthday. so university is now a torture for me.
i just want to cry everyday because of that shithole. idk how boys even have the audacity to do such things. matlab ALLAH se dar nahi lagta? i was never rude to him, i always helped him, did his assignments, covered for him in class, and he knew that i loved him, everyone knew.
and this birthday incident was just one after which everything ended before this were also many from which i got hurt but moved on after a time.
